Compassionate Caregivers Equine Retreat (with Master Pilates Instructor Katherine Denham of Kalijo Pilates) SEPTEMBER (date TBA)

Why Retreat with Horses?

When you retreat with horses, you open to the experience of non-linear, non-human knowing. While held in natures embrace, you explore the richness of connection by learning how you ATTUNE & COMMUNE. The wise and generous spirit of the horse guides the way....

– It’s a horse powered, embodiment experience

Have Questions ? Look here for answers to some common ones

  • I have little to no horse experience, is this retreat still suitable for me? ( YES! This retreat is about honouring YOU and where YOU’RE at. All interactions with horses are on the ground. We provide you with all of the support and guidance you’ll need to explore & expand your current relationship with the magnificent equine)
  • I have some physical limitations or concerns – will I still be able to participate in yoga session and meditation in motion ?  (YES. Tracy will be guiding us through a Restorative or YIN yoga practice. Suitable for all bodies and all levels. You are encouraged to honour your limits and communicate your need for support when/if you find you need it during any of the weekend activities)

  • Is it private or shared rooms available for the retreat?  (BOTH. Early bird folks get their choice of either a private OR shared room. If your travelling with a friend, how fun to consider sharing a room!)

  • What amenities are on site?  (The guest cottage has a private full kitchen, patio and 3 peice bathroom. The main house has a shared  kitchen, large patio, 2 bathrooms and access to yoga studio. There are walking trails around the property that take you to near and further beautiful locations to explore on foot.)

  • What to wear?! Can I  finally dig out my cowgirl boots that are dying to make an appearance? (HECK YES! Bring stretchy clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Cowboy boots or a sturdy covered shoe, that you can walk in comfortably [think a Blundstone type] if you decide to check out a winery for one of the afternoons/evenings, bring something fun to change into for after the horse & yoga attire)

We hold the vision here at Graystar Farms, of togetherness in Nature.  We welcome collaborating and co-existing with land, water, and animals.   Our goal is to share this land, its inhabitants and its resources to support our collective AND individual healing.

We work play and live on the UNceded land of theSnPink’tn people. (The Penticton Indian Band) represents one of the seven communities of the Okanagan Nation.
